18 Eildon Street is an elegant, tranquil, warm Victorian home on
three floors close to the Royal Botanic Garden in Inverleith. It has
been Anna Raman’s family home since 1982 and she takes special
pride in her standards of cleanliness, comfort, and personal attention.
The B&B suite on the first floor comprises:
One king-size bedroom; one twin/double room; a spacious modern
bathroom and an elegant drawing room with magnificent views of
Edinburgh's skyline. The accommodation is particularly suited to 3 or
4 people travelling together, who will enjoy total privacy within the
comforts of a family home.
Princes Street is reached by bus in a few minutes, or on foot
in about 20 minutes, passing several art galleries and antique shops
on the way. There is a wide choice of restaurants and cafes nearby,
and Anna (who speaks fluent French and Italian) is happy to advise
guests about interesting shops, shows, events and she can suggest
pleasant itineraries along the nearby river, the Water of Leith.
Continental breakfast is served in the drawing room; it is plentiful
and includes smoked salmon, ham, cheese as well as fresh fruit
juice, cereals, yogurt, croissants, toast, tea and coffee.
Guests may help themselves to tea, coffee and biscuits at any time
while relaxing on the comfortable sofas in the drawing room. Books,
tv and dvd player are provided for their entertainment. Wi-fi is
available and free of charge.
